Deven began his career working at the family restaurant in San Bernardino, California. From nationally recognized brands to created developed concepts, Deven has held and founded concepts to C-Level positions within the past 28 years.

Having operated three 20 million dollar concepts, he supervised 300 employees and created operations systems that have made companies profitable.

Credited with creating the 2002 Olympic Slogan "Light The Fire Within".

Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson, has created a reputation for making a difference around the world for the past 12 years. Noted as a sustainable development expert in the Non-Profit World. Chris has operated in various positions within the Choice Humanitarian organization as a Field Operations Director and CEO.

Chris has extensive knowledge and experience in cultural anthropology and community building with four years experience living and working within rural villages in developing countries and two years experience in relief work.

Author/Developer of unique, cutting-edge theory and models for community empowerment. His passion for community growth and development has lead him to explore new and exciting ways to create real change.

Chris has both under-graduate and post graduate work in sociology with an emphasis in community building.

Josh Cameron

Josh Cameron has over 12 years of hands on experience in portfolio management, operation, and analysis with CTG Management.

In addition Josh has 8 years experience in financial statement preparation, audit, tax, and consulting at local accounting and CPA firms.

He is currently the Senior Financial Analyst at Christopherson Business Travel, the largest travel management agency in the western United States with sales of over $225M. He specializes in Mergers, Acquisitions and Implementations.

Josh has obtained undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance and a Masters Degree in Finance.

He is currently studying for the CPA and CFA designations to further his passion for wealth accumulation in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Stuart Smits
Legal Counsel / Business Strategist

Stuart is a distinguished attorney with over three decades of expertise in complex business, real estate, and environmental issues. He co-founded what became the largest commercial real estate law firm in the Central Valley of California and has earned the highest Martindale-Hubbell AV rating for attorney ethics and expertise.

He was part of a select committee that coordinated California’s participation at the United Nations’ World Environment Week, where Governor Schwarzenegger signed the California Greenhouse Gas Climate Initiatives. This led to the “Million Solar Roofs Initiative,” a framework for commercial and residential roofs to be solar energy equipped.

Stuart founded Citizen Green Solutions to guide businesses through the maze of complex renewable energy initiatives on the local, state and national level. His multi-disciplined, solutions oriented approach helps clients “green their bottom line” as they transition to a renewable energy based economy.

He holds a BA degree History & Political Science from Tulane University and a law degree from California Western School of Law. He remains active with environmental groups, including Surfrider Foundation and Green Empowerment; which partners with rural communities in the developing world to implement renewable energy and water systems that alleviate poverty and preserve the environment.

Brent Bowen

Brent Bowen founded and operates Bowen Studios an Architectural Illustration firm. Since its inception in 2002 Bowen Studios has specialized in computer generated 3-D renderings and animations serving clients throughout the country. As an industry leader Brent has been guest presenter at local universities.

Brent was instrumental in starting InterPeace, a non-profit organization, with members in North America & India creating education scholarship programs.

As a fine artist Brent has been published in several books featuring artists and has been juried into several arts festivals.

Brent has worked in and traveled to over 40 countries as a tourist, Expedition Leader, and Industrial Designer. He also has a passion for diverse cultures and development.

Kurt Brown

Kurt began his trading career in 1996 and has held both buy- and sell-side positions. Before joining Alta Capital as Director of Trading in 2004, Kurt worked at Bank of America Securities, where he served as trading liaison for domestic hedge funds with cumulative assets exceeding $40 billion.

He also served as an equity trader for the Winwood Brown and BlackRock hedge funds. Kurt holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Brigham Young University.
